Statement on COPE status

Use of COPE resources in this policy does not imply that STA Congress is a COPE member or endorsed by COPE. COPE materials are used as international good-practice references.

03

Meaning of open access

Open access means that applicable content can be read online without a paywall. Reuse rights are governed separately by the licence notice attached to the content. Open access does not mean that all material is copyright-free or in the public domain.

04

Application of CC BY-NC 4.0

Content marked CC BY-NC 4.0 may be shared and adapted for non-commercial purposes with appropriate attribution, a link to the licence and an indication of changes. The full legal code is published by Creative Commons; the platform summary does not replace it. For third-party material and artworks, the rights/licence notice attached to the item controls.

Implementation note

This text is an institutional operating policy of STA Congress. Applicable law, competent-authority decisions and stricter event-specific rules prevail where relevant. Policies must remain consistent with actual workflows and technical systems.
